Abstract
A new vanadium-glycine complex (NH4V(Gly)3(PO4)2ldrH2O) was synthesized in hydrothermal condition and characterized by XRD, FTIR, SEM and TG-DSC techniques. The results indicate that glycine and water exist in the crystal framework as ligand coordinating with vanadium. The SEM images show that the single crystals are homogeneous in crystal size and shape, and show a good crystalline performance. The size of crystals is about 20 times 20 times 20 mum3. It has a certain potential of application in studying the relationships between the chemical and biological properties of vanadium compounds.
