  • Abstract
    The preparation of hydroxyapatite(HAP) in microemulsion media of TritonX-100-n-Pentanol-Cyclohexane- Water have been investigated. The composition and morphological properites of the samples were researched by Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and adsorption/desorption isotherms of N2 techniques. From the pore size distributions of samples, it can be deduced that the structure of the product was in favor of the adsorption of heavy metal ions. The sorption properties of cadmium ion in wastewater on hydroxyapatite have been investigated. The factors such as beginning concentration of cadmium ion, acidity, time and production dosage have been studied in detail. The results showed high removal rate.
