Abstract :
The performance (error probability vs. Eb/N0) of a suboptimum sampling receiver used for detecting the 8D-4P2C signals is compared with a matched filter receiver. In addition, formulas for a selected set of modulation waveforms are derived, and the joint optimization of the transmitter and receiver is carried out for binary communications over a bandlimited Gaussian channel
