  • Abstract
This paper proposes efficient multidimensional coded modulation techniques which can be used for digital communications over nonlinear channels. An 8D-CEMS (8 dimensional constant envelope modulation scheme) with a constant envelope of the modulated signal is introduced. Computer simulation results show that this modulation scheme lead to significant performance improvement on non-linearly amplified channel as required in most commercial satellite and terrestrial microwave systems. A bit-error rate of Pbe=10-4 at Eb/N0=8.5 dB at a spectral efficiency 3 bits/s/Hz is obtained
