Abstract :
Inappropriate methodology or inefficient usage of teaching tools in the process of delivering lectures to practising electrical engineers can impair the process of learning, obscuring the conceptualization of subject´s fundamentals and hasten the growth of boredom in lecture theater because these engineers are not tuned to listening long hours of lectures. As a result the basic aim of educating those engineers in an organised continuing education programme becomes a failure. Institute of High Voltage and High Current (IVAT) had conducted two short-courses (Electrical Discharges and Electrical Earthing) in the effort to educate practising electrical engineers and multi-media instructions were incorporated to enhance learning. So this paper focuses on various concepts of multi-media instructions in the effort to achieve improvement in learning and understanding of high voltage phenomena. The comment from the participants about the effects of multi-media method of instruction through questionnaire is also presented
