Abstract
In the experiments and production practice, it has been concluded that the cold-rolled strip with stress deviation is more possible to deflect toward the “baggy side” in a continuous annealing oven. By analyzing the dynamic behavior and the flexure of the strip, we found the main factors affecting a strip´s lateral movement are the initial deflection angle of strip and the tension. Further the angle is relevant to the width of the strip and the sum of the bending moment from the strip´s stress distribution. Tension has a corrective effect on initial angle, and the correct amount increases with the tension and initial angle. The results are consistent with the phenomenon in the actual production, and can be used to explain them.
