Abstract :
A one-dimension water quality predicting model for the section from Daceying to Xizhuang of Caohe River was proposed. The correlation coefficient between the prediction and measured data was 0.79, which implies that this model is reasonably accurate and applicable. Both the prediction and measured data show that the organic pollution in this river section fades due to the river´s self-purifying and exert no significant effect on the water quality of Baiyangdian Lake. However, the Mercury and Nitrogen pollution of Baiyangdian Lake and the groundwater along the river will be deteriorated and should be controlled.
