Abstract :
Simulating ocean wave has been given more and more attention recently in computer graphics and virtual reality. The main purpose of this paper is to simulate ocean wave´s changing process when wind changing, which was neglected in previous work of ocean wave simulation. We present a wave´s model using frequency spectrums and directional spectrums of ocean wave for a deep and fully developed sea based on observation and research results of oceanography. We further present a wind model designed as a segmented function, which describes the wind speed and directional changing process. A linear calculation method is adopted to obtain the interim parameters values such as frequency range and wind direction when wind changing. We combine the wave model and the wind model, and finally simulate ocean wave transformation under wind changing effect. Our method improved previous simulation method based on ocean wave spectrum. The experiment results prove that our method is feasible and efficient
