Abstract :
In this paper space time serial interference cancellation (STSIC) detection technique is proposed for multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) system to over come the affects of multiple access interference (MAI) caused by other users present in the system. STSIC technique combines the receiver diversity and serial interference cancellation (SIC) in overcoming MAI. The proposed system outperforms the optimal multi-user detection (MUD) and linear MUD techniques in overcoming the affects of MAI. It is also found that Gold codes are preferred over random codes in increasing the system performance.
