Abstract :
In this paper a fuzzy relational extended composition (FREC) is denned and introduced which includes some important special cases. Also the common fuzzy relational compositions (FRCs) can be expressed by these special cases. As the common FRCs are used in fuzzy relational models (FRMs), these newly-denned compositions can be used as well to construct a modified fuzzy relational model (MFRM). In this regard, tailored for data classification as an example, the model structure is presented and an iterative tuning algorithm is derived. Finally, the model is verified to solve a two-dimensional three-class data classification problem. Adaptive modeling for evolving data sources can be performed likewise since the tuning algorithm supports online data entry.
