The author describes an approach used to exploit computer integrated manufacturing and people resources worldwide. The basic mission in manufacturing storage products is to produce high-reliability products at competitive cost. The mission includes the development of advanced manufacturing technologies to serve the needs of advanced products. The SA600 storage array and the worldwide integration program of getting this product to the market place are described
