Abstract :
The ozonizing-biological aerated filter (BAF) process was used to treat the port chemical cabin washing wastewater . According to the characteristics of port chemical cabin washing wastewater with high CODcr, variable quality and complicated composition, the initial pH, the dosage of ozone and catalyzer, the bio-degrade ability of the wastewater, and effect of the hydraulic retention time (HRT) of BAF were investigated in this paper. The result showed that when the influent CODcr was about 1700 mg/L, using the combination processes which the dosage of ozone was 538~716 mg/L, HRT of BAF was 30 hours respectively. The effluent qualities were CODcr less than 250 mg/L. This process could effectively treat this kind of high concentration organic wastewater.
