Abstract :
As rapid progresses of mobile computing environments, the context-aware multimedia streaming service base on user´s context information is emergently required. This paper proposes and designs the context-aware embedded multimedia presentation system (CEMP), which is based on the context vocabulary ontology to provide the formal explicit description about the multimedia information domain and the formal context process model. The designed context recognition and the context representation reasoning mechanism can achieve the context classification to fit the quality requirement of the multimedia service. In addition, CEMP system provides an adaptation reasoning mechanism to inference the best adaptation control when the current contexts are changed. However, the context modification may cause the context conflict problem among multiple adaptation requirements and resource limitations. CEMP system provides the conflict resolution mechanism by calculating the context´s priority and the context weight to get the better context conflict resolution results
