Abstract :
The aim of designing the architecture for the IP multimedia subsystem is to provide fixed and mobile multimedia services independent of the access network technologies. One of these access networks is the 4th generation broadband LTE which supports femtocell deployment as to improve the indoor end-user experience. In this work we proposed an IMS module for the signalling in the LTE-based femtocell network. To evaluate our proposed module we have implemented the signalling module for two different scenarios within the LTE-Sim simulator framework. Our results show that the proposed module has achieved the goal of connecting two users´ equipments in the IMS environment. A scalability test and performance evaluation reports are also presented to demonstrate the efficiency of the module.
