Abstract
A new spread spectrum system, named frequency diversity spread spectrum multiple access system (FD/SSMA), which is based on the theory of parallel data transmission and time/frequency duality with the direct sequence spread spectrum multiple system (DS/SSMA) is proposed. It is verified that the FD/SSMA system has a low spectral density, the capability of multiple access, and the convenience of an FFT-based implementation. The performance of the FD/SSMA system in an AWGN channel is analysed
