Abstract :
This paper presents impacts of distributed generation (DG) on voltage sag assessment in distribution systems. Voltage sag assessment is analyzed by using the method of fault positions in order to determine area of vulnerability, voltage sag frequency and voltage sags index. Impacts of DG´s locations, sizes, operation modes and transformer connections on voltage sag are studied. The proposed method is applied to a Thailand distribution system as a test case. Some results are compared with actual sag measurements.
