Abstract :
To support a line of remote terminal units (RTUs), a test set equipment called the Diagnoster has been designed. The Diagnoster is a portable microprocessor-based device which can function as an RTU simulator, as monitor of communications channel, and as a master station simulator. The Diagnoster can be installed in-line without causing any interference with the normal flow of messages in the channel
