  • Abstract
Four digital schemes for the measurement of low frequencies are proposed. All four schemes make use of a low-frequency clock, three divide-by-ten counters, AND gate control, and a counter circuit for display of unknown frequency. The method provides an effective time base of 100-s ON duration for frequency measurement. Frequencies up to 100 Hz can be measured with a resolution of 0.01 Hz. The proposed schemes can be used in power systems for the display of line frequency
