Abstract :
A parallel interior orientation method based on lookup table is proposed to deal with lens distortion and interior orientation issues of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) images. Firstly, a distortion correction and interior orientation algorithm is proposed for UAV low altitude remote sensing images. Secondly, a mapping lookup table algorithm based on distortion correction model for interior orientation is presented. A parallel processing algorithm for distortion correction of batch non-metric camera images is proposed. Finally, an interior orientation experiment with 2531 UAV low altitude remote sensing images of two particular testing zones is designed. The experiment result shows that the processing speed of the new method promotes 3 times than that of traditional one, which is appropriate for interior orientation of batch remote sensing images, to achieve quick response to demand of fast mapping of low altitude remote sensing images from UAV platform.
