Abstract :
Network mobility (NEMO) basic support protocol (NBS) extends mobile IPv6 to enable mobile network to maintain connectivity when changing its point of attachment to the Internet. However, the use of bi-direction tunnel leads to pinball routing, packet overhead and latency. A localized route optimization scheme for NEMO (LROS) is proposed to solve mobility management and route optimization problems. LROS integrates NBS into a localized mobility management framework to reduce registration cost. Moreover, a route optimization scheme based on the framework is also introduced to eliminate pinball routing within mobile network.
