Abstract :
The paper discusses EAP Re-authentication Protocol (ERP), which aims at overcoming the authentication latency in EAP-based systems, and evaluates benefits from its use. The experiments employ an implementation, which has been developed from an open source EAP. Re-authentication gain during handoff is measured in a reference scenario, in which we benchmark ERP by comparing it with legacy EAP-based method.
