Abstract :
The security tools for the computer systems and networks require additional hardware/software resources and, therefore, significantly slow down information processing in the network. Thus, the safety control in the modern computer networks requires an adjustable security tool which runs in a real-time mode. The paper gives a comparative analysis of methods and tools for safety control in the computer systems and networks. Two main methods of safety control are considered: administrative and adaptive. The advantages and shortcomings of these control methods are analysed. Also, suggestions on architecture of adaptive safety control system on the monitoring tools are presented, and the main components of this system are described in detail. The algorithm and method for adaptive modification of the security system in computer systems and networks are developed. The algorithm of adaptive modification of the security system for minimization of potential damage from threats realization is shown.
