Abstract :
Lie symmetry analysis and basic similarity reductions are performed for the coupled Kuramoto-Sivashinsky(KS) equations. With aid of symbolic computation of Maple software, the continuous Lie point symmetry technique is extended to obtain corresponding infinitesimals. Similarity reductions are derived by solving the characteristic equations. In particular, families of new exact solutions of the coupled Kuramoto-Sivashinsky(CKS) equations are constructed.
