Abstract
This paper investigates the properties of Sierpinski gasket fractal aperture in a rectangular waveguide, in a conducting screen and as waveguide-fed slot antenna. The problem of multiple aperture coupling is solved using method of moments with RWG functions. A self-affine gasket geometry with a scale factor of 1.25 has been proposed for the rectangular waveguide problems. The fractal apertures show a multiband property with a band separation approximately equal to the scaling factor. The results have also been validated with HFSS.
