Abstract
The ability of several load models, including static load models, dynamic load models and composite load models to capture the slow voltage recovery load response is evaluated in this paper. According to the stalled characteristics, the behaviors of stalled motors have been approached. With the two test systems, it has numerically demonstrated that among the various load models, only the stalled induction motors can accurately capture the slow voltage recovery response. And the capability of composite load models with stalled induction motors to exhibit slow voltage recovery response have been discussed in the end. Based on the evaluation studies, several observations are presented and analyzed.
