Abstract
This paper presents an iterative congestion management method considering voltage stability under multi-contingency for day-ahead electricity markets. Load margins constraints under multi-contingency as well as normal conditions are incorporated into VSC-OPF (voltage stability constrained OPF). Based on sensitivity of the loading margin with respect to active power of generators and loads, an allocation method of congestion costs related to voltage stability is presented too. The results of simulation on IEEE 30 system have shown that the method can effectively handle voltage stability constraints under normal and multi-contingency conditions. Conforming to responsibility principle, allocation of congestion costs is fair for every market participant in perspective of voltage stability.
