Abstract
A vibration-based method of detection of the crack in the structures by using piezoelectric sensors and actuators glued to the surface of the structure. It was found that using a lower frequency, such as 5% of the natural frequency results in easier detection of the crack based on the output voltage difference of the piezoelectric sensors.
