Abstract :
DNA nanodevices are nanomechanical supramolecular structures which can perform a variety of tasks and nanoscale movements. In combination with the binding properties of DNA aptamers, DNA devices can be constructed which can cyclically bind and release proteins or other molecules. The resulting novel nanodevices have the functionality of molecular hands. Control of DNA devices is accomplished by coupling their operation to gene transcription.
