Abstract :
Voltage fluctuations caused by rapidly changing loads in the power system may give rise to noticeable flickers of lighting equipments. In addition, voltage flickers may lead to malfunctions of some flicker-sensitive electronic or electrical devices. In this paper, the performances of four detection methods for voltage flicker measurement - the squaring demodulation, the discrete wavelet synchronous detection, the ADALINE, and the enhanced phase-locked loop (EPLL) are evaluated and compared. Simulations results and discussions for the compared method are then addressed.
