Abstract :
In this paper, we proposed a new concept of BOP (beacon-only period) and relevant beacon scheduling mechanism that will avoid beacon conflicts between MEU (mesh-enabled USN) devices all of whom are transmitting their beacons. The beacon scheduling for the MEU devices makes all the devices of the overall network completely synchronized and operate in a stable manner. Moreover, the synchronization of the MEU devices of the network based on the beacon scheduling allows the network to save power consumptions drastically.
