            Abstract : 
This paper proposes a tabu search (TS) based method for topology identification in state estimation. In recent years, topology identification becomes much more important after the blackout of the North America in 2003. In this paper, the topology state is expressed in the Boolean variable while the system state is represented in continuous one. The mathematical formulation with the mixed logical dynamical (MLD) transform results in a constrained optimization problem. This paper minimizes the cost function in a sense of the L1-norm using TS. The method is tested in the IEEE 14-node system
