Abstract
A simulation of the behavior in a polymeric material of the complex dielectric constant as a function of the frequency is presented. Starting from experimental data and taking into account the distribution of the relaxation times, an electrical equivalent circuit for each material considered is established. The model is used to analyze some insulating systems. The curves are calculated for stratified insulation and for a single material subjected to chemical degradation
