Abstract
For the purpose of tackling rapidly time variant multipath channels, this paper derives a novel equaliser structure in which two equalisers-a linear transversal equaliser (LTE) and a decision feedback equaliser (DFE)-are implemented in parallel commonly using the LMS adaptation algorithm. Computer simulations demonstrate that with a small increase of computational complexity, the parallel LMS equaliser provides a significant improvement relative to the conventional LMS LTE and LMS DFE
