Temperature dependence of electron transport through long organic molecules

Abstract :
We analyze electron transport through long organic molecules attached to metallic leads taking account of the mechanical motion of the molecules. We determine the temperature dependence of electron current and show that it exhibits a wide variety of possible behaviors depending how deep the molecule is in quantum regime. These results explain previously observed experimental data.
