Abstract :
The results of the GM Sunrayce USA and 1990 World Solar Challenge are presented. Solar array measurements, performance data, and vehicle specifications, as well as highlights of the two events, are given. Plans for the next intercollegiate solar car race sponsored by the US Department of Energy (DOE), called Sunrayce ´93, are updated. Results of an economic assessment of PV-assisted electric cars are summarized
