Abstract
This article provides the work on the formation of ultrathin films by electrostatic layer-by-layer assembly followed by production of hollow ultrathin capsules using decomposable spherical particles as templates. Various other types of ultrathin capsular membranes are also discussed which are suitable for drug delivery.
