Abstract :
The non-uniform finite difference time-domain (FDTD) method is presented to analyze the crosstalk of high speed digital microstrip traces over a slotted ground plane in this paper. The crosstalk influence factors including rise time of the high speed digital signal, slot width and trace to trace distance are analyzed. Further, the effect of reducing crosstalk between 3W rule and guard trace grounded at two ends or at multipoint along it is compared. The conclusions of this paper could be applied to high speed digital printed circuit board (PCB) design.
