Abstract :
A fully analogue PAM-2 equalizer IC is presented, that uses slope steepness detection to adapt itself to the channel. Its functionality is demonstrated by experimental results for 1.0 Gbit/s-transmission over 50 m SI-POF at 650 nm wavelength.
