  • Abstract
This paper presents a novel method to evaluate performance of frequency-hopping radio receivers affected by a disturbance by using statistical results of the disturbance. The statistical results of interfering signals, especially amplitude probability distribution (APD), have been widely used, and the relationship between the statistical results and performance of digital radio systems has been an open issue. In this paper we show that the amplitude statistics of disturbance have significant influence on the bit error probability (BEP) of the victim while frequency hopping is off, and then we give out the evaluating model while frequency hopping is on. The model is evaluated by simulations with a Bluetooth victim.
