Abstract :
A full PMOS, low phase noise, and wideband VCO is presented. The frequency band and tuning voltage are 2.97-4.45 GHz and 0-1.8 V, respectively. The simulated phase noise at 1 MHz from carrier frequencies of 3.07, 3.73, and 4.35 GHz are -127.5, -125.7 and -124.2 dBc/Hz, respectively. With 1.8V voltage supply, the VCO core consumes 7 mW. The VCO is designed using TSMC 0.18 mum CMOS technology.
