Abstract :
A microstrip linear antenna array consisting of 8 radiating elements and operating within 10.5 GHz frequency band is presented. To achieve low dissipation losses within a feeding network a `through-element´ series-feeding technique has been applied. An appropriate signal distribution across two parts of the antenna array has been ensured with the use of a recently developed technique, in which slot coupler is utilized for simultaneous realization of equal power split and a 180° phase shift. Theoretical analysis as well as experimental results of the manufactured 8 × 1 linear antenna array are shown.
