Abstract :
This work presents a methodology to adjust non-convergent solutions of the optimal power flow problem. The proposed strategy is based on the application of a step factor in the increments of the variables computed during the OPF iterative process. In addition, the dual multipliers of the OPF are used to provide the minimum corrective actions in terms of the load and/or operational limits required to estimate a feasible OPF solution. The use of the step factor prevents the divergence of the iterative process whereas the dual multipliers are used to ensure that the adjustments in the power injections and/or operational limits are minimum
