Abstract :
This paper presents a concept of the reconfigurable antenna for mm-wave Digital Beamforming based on spatial multiplexing of local elements technique. The structure of the antenna is based on silicon substrate for creating the waveguide slot antenna consisted on slots with embedded surface PIN diodes (S-PIN). The spatial multiplexing technique can be achieved by adjusting the on/off parameter setting of the S-PIN switches integrated in slots. Due to employing S-PIN devices which had been realized and investigated by authors before, this paper gives the results of simulation in reason to proof the usefulness of presented new concept.
