Abstract
In this paper we analyse a particular resource sharing situation which appears in the stochastic Petri net (SPN) model of production systems, for example in the kanban system with two-consumers or two-suppliers. This particular subsystem is analyzed in isolation under a load-dependent Poisson arrival process and we present the analysis for three conflicting control policies. In this paper we describe two methods of analysis and compare the performance of these methods in terms of robustness and rapidity
