Abstract
This paper shows under certain conditions a static state feedback ensures the controlled system xk+1=(A+BF)xk(resp.x˙(t)=(A+BF)x(t)) to have certain common Lyapunov functions with the autonomous system xk+1 =Axk(resp.x˙(t)=Ax(t)). This notion is called (A, B)-stabilizability with respect to certain Lyapunov functions. The relations between this notion and the classical (A, B)-stabilizability are studied. The results obtained are then used to study the global stabilization of linear systems with bounded inputs by means of a saturated control law
