Abstract :
This paper explores multiorganizational information systems (MOISs) from a conceptual and methodological perspective. First, we discuss, as an organizational contest, the concept of multiorganizational systems (MOSs). These are clusters or organizations exhibiting moderate degrees of integration, in order to (mutually) advance their individual goals or to pursue trans-organizational goals. MOISs play a fundamental role in the integration or MOSs. This paper discusses the very particular set of conceptual and methodological challenges posed by MOISs
