Abstract :
Focuses on diagnostic and decision problems, and proposes a new online method for managing systems with both continuous and discrete dynamics. Using a behavioral model as a specification of the correct and incorrect process dynamics, this decision method builds and maintains an operating context called a “ managing graph”. In contrast to other decision methods, this decision approach handles delayed, uncertain and infrequent observations for systems with large ranges of acceptable operation. This method is presented like a conceptual model framework for describing system operations and this approach is illustrated in the context of a household refuse incinerator example
