Abstract :
The first half century of Artificial Intelligence has just ended. The next half century of AI’s challenges and techniques will be quite different from the first, with the focus shifting from objects to networks, and static relationships to dynamics. Examples of this transition will be presented, including applications from multiple sensor signal processing, social dynamics and autonomic systems. Several new fundamental algorithms and theoretical results concerning network and process detection will be developed as well.
