Title :
The importance of laboratory experience in power engineering education
Author_Institution :
Wichita State Univ., Wichita, KS
Abstract :
Advances in simulations and virtual laboratories seem to allow a power engineering program to reduce or even eliminate actual laboratory experiences for engineering students. But such experiences cannot replace actual laboratory experience in developing the physical understanding of abstract concepts needed by practicing engineers.
