Abstract
The adaptive controller is applied in a framework of passivity based inventory control. A feedback-feedforward control structure is induced by the inventory control theory. The adaptive feedforward controller is added to the feedback component such as PI controller and certain model parameters are estimated online to compensate the unmeasured disturbances. This control strategy is used on the challenging superheater control problem and demonstrated to have much better performance than current PI control.
